Happy One Web Day!

In celebration of One Web Day*, we've posted below a number of vidoes from the most recent meeting of the Chicago Net Tuesday group. At our last meetup, co-covener Michael Maranda asked a general question about what people loved about the Internet in preparation for One Web Day, and the answers were insightful, though provoking, touching, and hilarious (some of them all at once). There is additional coverage of and video from this same meetup on Michael's and Dorothee's blogs. Enjoy.

The speakers are (in order) Demetrio Maguigad, Dorothee Royal-Hedinger, Gerry Gleason, Gordon Dymowski, Adam Law, Tim Godfrey, Melvin Bailey, and Jonathan Werve, and Jean Russell.

*What is OWD? From the organizers:

The idea behind OneWebDay is to focus attention on a key internet value (this year, online participation in democracy), focus attention on local internet concerns (connectivity, censorship, individual skills), and create a global constituency that cares about protecting and defending the internet.
