Thanks!

Our ChipIn drive has ended, and we raised $1,072, or 89%, of our goal of $1,200*. Thanks to everyone who supported MoveSmart.org - your belief in MoveSmart.org at this critical time is greatly appreciated.

For those of you who work in the non-profit world and haven't yet used ChipIn, I highly recommend it. ChipIn is a free tool (requires a PayPal business account, takes 3-4 days and light paperwork) that enables you to raise money for a specific project or expense online. Donations are received through PayPal, and you get a .csv file of the contributors with their e-mail addresses and names.

Unlike many other non-profits, MoveSmart.org did not send out any paper solicitations for donations - only e-mails. While we will likely send paper letters in the future, it was exciting to see that an e-mail only donation campaign can be successful. In just under one month we were able to raise more than $1,000 for a brand new non-profit organization, not too shabby.

We hope to see you at Integration 2.0: A Benefit for MoveSmart.org on January 29th, 2008.

*Note: ChipIn does not allow you to enter paper checks received. There were paper checks totaling $240, plus $832 raised through the widget, for a total of $1,072.
