One Step Closer

MoveSmart.org is pleased to announce that we have been awarded a $7,500 grant from the Field Foundation's Emergency and Technical Assistance Fund. This grant will fund two projects. A prototype of the site, featuring interactive maps and multiple layers of data, will be built by our friends at Placebase.com. Jason and Jaron have been an amazing resource during the formative stages of MoveSmart.org, answering my endless questions with clarity and insight. Meanwhile, the Metro Chicago Information Center will conduct a survey of area housing counselors on both their housing-related services and a host of technology issues. MCIC's Dr. Joanne Howard will be conducting the survey. Dr. Howard is taking over for Drew Williams-Clark, who is now an assistant planner at CMAP. Drew's connections and advice have been incredibly helpful, and we are quite excited to work with Dr. Howard.

Despite this fantastic news, we still need your support to make MoveSmart.org a reality. We've got just over 2 weeks left and a long way to our goal of $1,200. You can track our progress live in the ChipIn widget on the right - which coincidentally is where you click to donate to MoveSmart.org.
